Henri Lefèbvre analyzes here the label of dialectical materialism in relation to the imperatives derived from the Marxian thought. That is to say, Lefèbvre questions the notion of dialectical materialism as a persistent element of the old discussion between materialism and idealism, so as to supersede such division through the concept of praxis. Lefèbvre defines, then, Marxism and the dialectical thought as a sublation (Aufhebung) of philosophy, insofar as a process of realization of the philosophy itself, which it is grounded in the negativity of the relation between subject and object.Downloads
